We are proud to offer programs and events that enrich the quality of life in our community. But, it takes a hard-working and dedicated staff to get the job done and the BTPD is currently seeking to recruit new staff for the positions listed below.
 

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill a full-time, exempt position of Recreation Assistant with benefits and supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor in charge of Preschool and Youth & Teen programs and assists in creating, implementing, supervising and evaluating recreation programs designed for preschoolers, youth and teens. Duties will include assisting with the training, scheduling and supervising of staff. Before and After School Site Supervisors will report directly to this position. This position will also assist with special events, rentals and parties. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Hours will vary and will include some nights and or weekends. Applicants must have a valid drivers’ license, be able to pass a criminal background check, and a drug screen.

The Exploration Station……a Children’s Museum has an opening for a part time Adventure Guide/Admissions Clerk. Duties include overseeing programs and visitors during the day-to-day operations and maintaining facility appearance and exhibits. Hours will vary and will include nights and or weekends. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen. Strong interpersonal communication skills are a MUST. Applicants must have a valid drivers’ license, be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.

The Exploration Station……a Children’s Museum has an opening for a part time Admissions Clerk. Duties will include front desk operations; like answering phones, taking registrations, handling visitors, entering data into our registration software, balancing end of day reports and providing information on park district activities. Days and times will vary including weekend and evening shifts for a total of up to 29 hours per week. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent along with above-average filing, math, typing, and organizational skills. A minimum of two years’ receptionist and cash handling experience is also required. Related experience in a non-profit agency is desirable. Strong interpersonal communication skills are a MUST.  Applicants must have a valid drivers’ license, be able to pass a criminal background check, a drug screen and pass an aptitude test.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill a substitute bus driver position. Applicants must possess a CDL with passenger endorsement with an excellent driving record. Qualified applicants will need to pass a criminal background check and physical examination including a drug test. The park district is looking for a candidate that has good communication skills, excellent customer service expertise and has flexibility in their schedule.  

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking highly motivated and dynamic instructors to join our team. Both contractual & part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. If you are a fitness instructor who is energetic, outgoing, willing to build relationships with new and existing clients, and ready to lead dynamic workout routines you could be a great addition to our team. We are looking for instructors with confidence in working with all level of clients to provide challenging, fitness-based classes in a safe manner. We have an immediate need for an instructor with availability weekday mornings.  
 

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is always on the lookout for Program Instructor(s) who want to share their talents with the community. The ideal candidates will have experience in planning programs, public speaking as well as a great interest in working directly with people. The positions involve program planning, and implementation.  Candidates must be able to work weekends and evenings. The positions require a minimum of a high school diploma and/or a specific background and expertise in the particular subject being taught. The park district is seeking instructors on a variety of subjects which include but are not limited to: Fitness, Sports, Wellness, Education, Arts & Crafts, and Nature related programs. Specialized Program instructors should hold specific certifications within their area of expertise and have at least two years of related experience. These positions are part-time and are considered independent contractors.
