The Recreation Station is currently seeking individuals to fill the part-time position(s) of Before and After School Counselor. Hours vary based on the school site and schedule, but generally require availability between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 am for Before School and/or between 1:00 and 6:00 pm for After School. The ideal candidate works well with children, is motivated, energetic, caring, organized, punctual and able to multi-task. Duties include: set-up, planning and implementing activities, transporting and supervising before and/or after school participants. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, have reliable transportation and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill a substitute bus driver position. Applicants must possess a CDL with passenger endorsement with an excellent driving record. Qualified applicants will need to pass a criminal background check and physical examination including a drug test. The park district is looking for a candidate that has good communication skills, excellent customer service expertise and has flexibility in their schedule.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking highly motivated and dynamic instructors to join our team. Both contractual & part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. If you are a fitness instructor who is energetic, outgoing, willing to build relationships with new and existing clients, and ready to lead dynamic workout routines you could be a great addition to our team. We are looking for instructors with confidence in working with all level of clients to provide challenging, fitness-based classes in a safe manner. We have an immediate need for an instructor with availability weekday mornings.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill the full-time position of Parks and Grounds Manager. This position is responsible for the overall planning and daily operations of the park and grounds department. The position is steward of approximately 330 acres of park space, over 5 miles of paved walking trails, the historic Perry Farm, barns and animals, a maintenance facility, a children's museum, a recreational center, a nature center and a dog park. Duties will include building and grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, land management, personnel management and support of special events. Hours will vary and may include some nights and/or weekends. Successful candidates will hold a Bacherlor's Degree in a related field or 3-5 years of experience. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check, a physical and a drug screen. 

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking qualified individuals to fill the part-time positions of Preschool Teachers Aides. Positions average between 20 and 30 hours per week. Schedules will vary between the hours of operation from 6:30 am through 6:00 pm. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and truly enjoy working with children and parents. Preference is given to applicants with prior experience in preschool or classroom setting.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is always on the lookout for Program Instructor(s) who want to share their talents with the community. The ideal candidates will have experience in planning programs, public speaking as well as a great interest in working directly with people. The positions involve program planning, and implementation.  Candidates must be able to work weekends and evenings. The positions require a minimum of a high school diploma and/or a specific background and expertise in the particular subject being taught. The park district is seeking instructors on a variety of subjects which include but are not limited to: Fitness, Sports, Wellness, Education, Arts & Crafts, and Nature related programs. Specialized Program instructors should hold specific certifications within their area of expertise and have at least two years of related experience. These positions are part-time and are considered independent contractors. 

The Bourbonnais Township Park District is seeking to fill the full-time position of Recreation Supervisor for Senior Programs and Trips. Under the direction of the Deputy Director, this position is responsible for creating, implementing, supervising and evaluating recreation programs for seniors (55+) and trips. Position is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating part-time site supervisors, bus drivers, and program and fitness instructors. Position will participate in determining department budgets; including revenue projections, staffing and other material resource requirements. Also responsible for tracking attendance levels, monitoring department expenditures, and driving the park district 14 passenger mid busses for various activities. Hours will vary and may include some nights and or weekends. Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and or have several years of related experience.

Willowhaven Dog Park water will be shut off Thursday for the season. Members don't forget to bring your water bottles.

The Willowhaven park is experiancing a lawn rust outbreak. Pets who are suseptable to allergies should stay off the grass.

The Perry Farm Playground is closed for upgrades and will reopen in the spring of 2019.

Don't forget to sign up for school break days before they fill up!
