Birthday Parties and Overnights at the Museum

June Birthday Party Incentive is:

Birthday Party Packages

The Exploration Station...a children's museum is the perfect location for your next birthday party. All party packages include museum admission for 25 guests and the birthday child. The 25 guests include both children and adults.

Basic No Frills Party

Package includes: Party Room for 1½ hours & unlimited play time in the museum

After Hours Party
Package Includes: Party room and museum for 3 hours from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Add-On Menu

Birthday Trimmings for up to (25) guests- $50.00
Includes 2 dozen cupcakes, juice drink, lined tables, 12 balloons, streamers, napkins, and the birthday child's name on our marquee.

Additional Trimmings-$2.50 each
Need birthday trimmings for more than (24) guests? No problem. Each additional guest setting is $2.50 each.

Face Painting - $20.00
Every child in your party will get their faces painted during the party time for one flat fee.

Pizza Deal - $38.00
Add three 16" one-topping pizzas to any package.

Additional Pizzas- $14.00 each
Need more than 3 pizzas? No Problem. Each additional 16" one-topping pizza is only $14.00.

Smash Cake - $7.00 each
Add a smash cake to your little one’s first birthday party and let him/her tear into the fun.  Don’t worry about the mess; it all cleans up.

Need a little extra time in the Party Room? No problem.

Extra hour:

There is a 1:5 adult to child ratio required for all parties. Adults are responsible for supervising children while they play/explore the museum.

*Package fee includes a $25 non-refundable reservation fee which must be paid with a signed contract required at the time of booking. Any cancellations, changes and final party balance must be made at least 14 days prior to the party date. Parties booked less than 14 days prior to party date will be issued a $25 late booking fee and must pay by cash or credit card. No checks will be allowed if the party is booked within 14 days of the party. Prices are subject to change.

Party Rooms

The Exploration Station currently has two party rooms to choose from based on availability.

The Multipurpose Room
is a large room with a capacity for up to 50 guests. This room has 8 foot rectangular tables (1 head table and up to 6 for seating) and blue chairs. Our Multi-Purpose room was remodeled in September 2014 with fresh and inviting yellow walls and a beautiful yet durable floor that is blue with a red border.  

The Activity Room
has capacity for up to 24 guests. The room has one six foot rectangular head table and 3 round tables for seating. Tables and chairs are beige.

Exploration Station Facility Rentals

Are you planning a party, fundraiser, school event, business meeting, baby shower or holiday party? Let us offer you a unique setting for your event! Special programs, demonstrations, activities, or food can be tailored to your needs. Dining is available for up to 50 and the museum can accommodate up to 200 guests. If you are with a non-for-profit organization please ask for our special discount.

Exploration Station Overnight Packages

Our add-on menu will customize any of our birthday party packages to suit your needs.


All of our Overnight Packages include:
Play time in the museum from 8:00pm—8:00am

Participants may choose their favorite exhibit/room to sleep in (excluding staff only areas).  For your safety, the Exploration Station requires that there is at least a 1:5 adult to child ratio during an overnight

Basic Overnight
Fee:  $425.00
Extra Participant Fee:  Children-$11 each/Adults-$6 each
Package also includes:

Fee:  $475.00
Extra Participant Fee:  Children-$14 each/Adults-$6 each

Overnight Extras

​ A refundable deposit of $175.00 and a signed contract is required at the time of reservation.  All overnights must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the overnight date.  All cancellations must be made 14 days prior to the overnight date.  Overnights booked less than 14 days prior to the overnight date will be accessed a $25 late booking fee.  Prices are subject to change.  Damage deposit refund will be processed  the week following the overnight.  (Refund of deposit paid by cash or check may take up to 3 weeks to receive.)
