The Haunted Trail at a Night in Sleepy Hollow

Presented by Bourbonnais Township Park District 

Take a ride on a suspenseful journey into the dark of night along the Perry Farm Trail. The Haunted Trail at a Night in Sleepy Hollow is a mile long hayride of frights and awful sights. See ghosts, zombies and demented creatures lurking in the woods and shadows. Haunted trail rides only run 8-11pm on Friday and Saturday nights, October 13, 14, 20 & 21, 2017. Tickets are $5 (5 - $1 activity tickets) and are sold at the Night in Sleepy Hollow event or presale activity tickets are available at BTPD facilities while supplies last. Please note that the Haunted Trail rides are not for the faint of heart. The ride depicts disturbing images and surprises and are not intended for young children or those with certain medical conditions. The Haunted Trail Ride will includes a walking experience following the ride.


Scaring Contest Application Deadline is 9-1-17 at 5:00pm.
All applications are to be submitted to the Perry Farm House at 459 N Kennedy Drive in Bourbonnais.

Contest participation dates are Wednesday, October 11 from 7-9pm (Rehearsal/Tech night), & Fridays & Saturdays October 13, 14, 20 & 21 from 7:30 pm-12:00 am.

Winners are chosen by public vote. Patrons following each hayride cast votes on their favorite scare zone. Contest winners will be announced at noon on Wednesday, October 25th. Winners need not be present to win. Other rules and restrictions apply. See the rules and restriction section of the Scare Application for complete details.

Applicant must be at least 21 years old to register a group and all participants must be 16 years or older. A group volunteer waiver and a final list of participating volunteers is due by October 2, 2017.

BTPD staff and their families are not eligible for Scare Contest. Zones on the Haunted Trail run by BTPD staff are not eligible for contest. The Bourbonnais Township Park District reserves the right to deny any applications that do not comply with district wide rules.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF AUDIT REPORT OF THE BOURBONNAIS TOWNSHIP PARK DISTRICT

Bourbonnais Township Park District hereby provides public notice that an audit of its funds for the fiscal period of May 1, 2016 through April 30, 2017 has been completed by the accounting firm of Groskruetz, Schmidt, Abraham, Eshleman & Gerretse LLC, and that a copy of such audit dated November 17, 2017 has been filed with the County Clerk of Kankakee, in accordance with 30 ILCS 15/0.01. The full report of the audit is available for public inspection at the administrative office of the Park District, 459 N. Kennedy Drive, Bourbonnais, IL 60914 during regular business hours 8:30 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The report is also available on the park district’s website www.btpd.org
