The BTPD hosts a variety of events every year. The BTPD works towards bringing the community together through authentic and engaging events. We hope to see you at our events for all ages.

Family Night Out

Friday, May 29, 2026

Perry Farm Park ♦6:00 – 8:00 pm

This event offers a variety of activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy at Perry Farm Park.

Some the activities include:

Face Painting | Carnival Games | Basketball Challenge Game
Carriage Ride | Barrel Train Ride | Dual Lane Course
Giant Checkers | Bounce House | Live Entertainment

For an additional fee for Exploration Teddy Mountain Stuffing Machine ($10 and $15 plush animal options)

Get lost in the fun with our Inflatable Maze! This large blow-up corn maze adds an exciting twist to our Family Night Out. Navigate through twists and turns as you challenge friends and family to see who can conquer the maze first.

The cost to attend Family Night Out is $10 per carload or walking group.

Why settle for the same old lunch when you can savor something new every Friday? Gather your friends, co-workers, or family and head to Perry Farm Park for an outdoor lunch with a rotating lineup of delicious food trucks! Enjoy great food, fresh air, and a perfect way to kick off the weekend!

Scarecrow Festival

Sunday, September 20, 2026  11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Be part of Fall Annual Tradition as you participate in our Scarecrow Contest and Festival sponsored by St. Mary’s Hospital. Create your own scarecrow or vote in person on Sunday, September 20, for your favorite.

Scarecrow Contest registration opens Tuesday, September 1, at 9:00 a.m. at the Perry Farm House. (Don’t wait, they sell out really fast!!!)

Registrations will be taken Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Perry Farm House location only. Sorry, online registration is not available.

Scarecrow frames are included in the $30 registration fee. This year’s categories are:

  • People’s Choice – 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
  • Business – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place
  • Non-Profit/School/Youth – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place
  • Individual/Family – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place

Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place. Third place will receive a BTPD gift card.

Scarecrow set-up is Friday, September 18 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm, and/or Saturday, September 19, check-in is between 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm.

Join us at Perry Farm Park on Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm for food and fun and to vote for your favorite scarecrows at our 13th Annual Scarecrow Hollow Festival!

The 35 anniversary of this beloved fall tradition at Perry Farm Park will come alive this fall.  Tickets will go on sale in mid-September.

The reenactment is made possible through the exceptional talents Kankakee Valley Theatre Association, and we are so excited to bring this story to life on the grounds of Perry Farm Park!

Get ready to run (or trot) this fall! Our Turkey Trot Race registration opens early this fall—don’t miss your chance to join the fun. Whether you’re racing for speed or just for laughs, this event promises plenty of fun. Be sure to sign up and don’t let this one pass you by!

Get ready for a jolly good time at Christmas on the Farm! We’re bringing the holiday magic to the farm with activities, treats, and plenty of merry moments. Stay tuned—it’s going to be a farm-tastic celebration!

Perry Farm Park  Trails ♦ 10:00 am
Easter Bunny will be coming to Perry Farm Park! BTPD, Village of Bourbonnais, and Village of Bradley and Bourbonnais Township Park will host an egg hunt at 10 a.m. on the trails!
The free event for the public is open to ages 10 & Under. Participants are reminded to bring a basket or bag for the egg hunt.
Five starting points will be included for trail access with entrances at:

  • Coyne Street
  • Bisaillon Avenue
  • Cavalier de LaSalle Park
  • Exploration Station
  • Valley Avenue

Photos with the Easter bunny will be available before at Coyne St. from 9:00 – 9:45 am and after the hunt at Perry Farm Park Gazebo from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
