Multi-Use fields can be used for soccer, rugby, t-ball, football and assorted sports practice fields. Open space fields can be used for running events and assorted sports practice fields.
A Special Event Permit is required if your event has any of the following elements:
- Events with over 150 expected participants
- Events where admission is charged
- Use of vendors
- Any advertising or sponsorship activities
- Selling and/or distributing food, goods or merchandise (this includes exercise classes or boot camps)
- Liquor use/sales
- Tents larger than 12' x 12'
- Inflatables & bounce houses
- Walk/Run events
- Specific location reservations

What is Event Helper?
Event Helper provides a marketplace for Bourbonnais Township Park District patrons to cost-effectively purchase event-specific special event coverage through a secure and easy-to-use website. Groups requesting to use Bourbonnais Township Park District facilities and parks for certain types of events – and when alcohol is served or sold – can purchase liability coverage 24/7 in minutes and any time prior to their event.
The process is simple (detailed steps are below):

Complete the online form.
Pay by credit card.
The Bourbonnais Township Park District is automatically added as an additional insured and immediately receives the certificate of insurance via email.
Please consider that there are other activities or proposed event features that may require you to secure a Bourbonnais Township Park District Special Event Permit.
